The reliable wired handheld
Not everything needs to be wireless. For a fixed podium, a backup mic, or miking an instrument, a good wired dynamic is simpler and there's nothing to charge. The ATR1300x is a cardioid dynamic — it picks up what's in front and rejects the room, with an on/off switch and a detachable cable that goes straight into a 1/4" or, with an adapter, an XLR input.
Setup
Clamp it to a stand, plug the cable into your mixer or powered speaker, done. Keep one on a lectern and one as a spare. Pair with a Yamaha mixer; for roaming hosts use the wireless Shure BLX.

Does it work with an XLR mixer? Yes — the supplied cable terminates in 1/4"; a 1/4"-to-XLR adapter (which we can include) lets it run into any XLR input.
