We brought ShashinBooth to the Marine Parade Dumpling Festival Celebration on 20 June. Families for Life ran the night as part of the National Family Festival 2026, themed "Family Begins With Me." Doors were 6pm to 9:30pm. The plaza filled with families, the playground stayed busy, and the booth kept a steady queue most of the evening.
Mr Goh Pei Ming stopped by too, Minister of State at the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Social and Family Development, and Adviser to the Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC. He jumped in for a photo with the grassroots team, dumpling props and all.
None of this needs a fancy camera. A sharp 4K webcam (we ran an OBSBOT Tail Air) and a studio softbox do most of the work, because good light matters more than a big sensor. Custom "Family Begins With Me" frames kept every shot on-brand. Guests had a 4R print in their hands within seconds, plus a digital copy to match: scan the QR on screen and the full-resolution file drops straight to your phone, no email sign-up, no waiting. People posed, laughed, and walked off with a printed keepsake before they'd stopped grinning.
The booth runs with almost nobody manning it, which is why it fits a grassroots event like this one. Big thanks to the Families for Life volunteers who kept it going all evening and kept the queue moving.
